Alpine Connection Counseling

1.   How much does individual therapy cost?

  • $140.00 per session for an hour.
  • $100.00 per session for an hour of phone or online appointment (nationwide)
  • $60.00 per session for a 1/2 hour.

2.  Do you accept insurance?

We do not currently accept insurance and all private pay at this time.  Payments for services can be made in either cash, check, or credit card.  However, if your insurance policy covers out of network providers of your choice, then Christian T. Hill, MA can provide the appropriate paperwork validating completion of services and any diagnostic and procedure codes required.

3. How do you handle confidentiality?

Christian believes that he is most valuable to the parent if he has complete confidentiality with the student, with a few exceptions.  These exceptions include immanent harm to self or others, abuse, or grave-disability.  If there is an area of concern that I believe the parent needs to know about, I will work with the client to discuss an agreeable compromise to communicate information together to the parent.

4.  How can we as parents know if we are making progress?

Although Christian can not discuss specific details of private sessions with your son or daughter, Christian recognizes the need and value for the parent(s) to feel connected to the counseling process as well as needing feedback if we are making progress.  Christian can address this important need in a couple of ways.  You may always email and ask for general feedback on how the sessions are going and ask if we are making progress.  You can also set up an individual appointment with one or both parents to discuss progress and future direction of treatment.

5.  How many sessions will it take to help my son or daughter?

Christian usually answers this question with another question, "How ready is your son and daughter ready to change?"  Sessions can range from 2-3 individual session or several months or longer.  Many times when sessions continue for longer than months, it is because the client is choosing this approach as they believe the week to week meeting continues to keep them on track even though the initial crisis might have been dealt with.

Christian can say that within the first 2-3 sessions he is able to give a clear information on what issues require the most immediate attention, an immediate plan on how to address those issues, in addition to a long-term treatment plan and goals.
